You must ensure that you have completed all mandatory training and coursework required for your course before the examination of your thesis can commence. Your mandatory training records cand be found in your candidature profile.

Submission seminar

Candidates must also have completed a Submission Seminar within the six months prior to thesis submission. This is a presentation (not an assessment) arranged at the faculty level, and may be satisfied through formats such as a group presentation, school seminar, or practice conference presentation. In many cases, the final Progress Review Milestone (PreSubmission Review) occurs within this timeframe and can fulfil this requirement, meaning a separate seminar may not be required. A Graduate Research Coordinator must confirm that this requirement has been met before thesis submission can proceed.

Practice-based examinations

Practice-based examinations involve submission of ‘Non Traditional Research Outputs’ (such as performance, artwork, prototype, model etc.). Further detailed information specific to this type of thesis examination can be found on the creative work examinations page.
