Campus access and parking
Deakin University is committed to providing accessible campuses and facilities for all users, including people with disabilities.
Wheelchair access is available to the majority of buildings on all campuses. Mobility scooter access is also available at most access points on campus. However a wheelchair access point does not guarantee mobility scooter access. Access is restricted in some areas due to the steepness of external paths but there are accessible routes at all campuses. Most buildings are equipped with lifts, accessible toilets and some automatic doors.
Deakin University is continuing to work on improving the accessibility of facilities.
Accessible (category 1 council permit) parking is available at all campuses. If you are a category one permit holder, you will not need a Deakin parking permit.
If you have a serious temporary injury reducing your mobility, you be eligible for a temporary authority to park in accessible parking bays. Contact the parking office to ask about temporary parking in accessible parking bays.
For further parking information or to contact the parking office, see the parking web page for your campus.
