Apply or extend CoE form

Before applying for a new CoE (confirmation of enrolment) or extension, please read this important information.

  • Deakin strongly recommends that you lodge your visa application while you are onshore in Australia.
  • Most students who have a visa can lodge their visa online, through their ImmiAccount.
  • Students who choose to lodge their visa offshore, or allow their visa to expire so they are ineligible to apply onshore are likely to experience longer visa processing times.
  • Your application for a new CoE will take up to 10 working days to process. Deakin will not be able to issue a CoE at the last minute.

  1. I understand that I am required to complete my course by the new expected course completion date as provided on the CoE extension. Failure to do so may result in a refusal of further CoE extension and I may be required to complete my remaining unit/s from offshore as a Cloud campus student.
  2. I further accept that it is my sole responsibility to contact Student Central and request a revised course map, should I fail or under enrol any units of study in the future.
  3. I understand it is recommended that I do not apply for a CoE extension until I have received results for the current trimester in which I am applying for a CoE extension. Failing in any units after my CoE extension may result in the change of CoE duration and a further visa extension may be required, which will be at my own cost.
  4. I understand the financial implication associated with the fees and charges for visa for applying multiple student visas and I understand this will be at my own cost.
  5. I understand that if I am granted a CoE extension, the indicative/estimated total fee amount on the CoE is based on an estimated amount for the additional credit point/s required to complete my course (any scholarships and pre-paid tuition fees will not appear on the CoE, and I will refer to my invoice on StudentConnect for further details).
