Women's Health Week

Deakin is committed to supporting and improving the health and wellbeing of our female and female-identifying students.

Women's Health Week

Women’s Health Week, held annually each September, is a national health awareness campaign hosted by the Jean Hailes Foundation.

Women’s Health Week adopts a new theme each year aiming to support all women, girls and gender-diverse people to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing via enhanced awareness, knowledge and accessible resources.

Jean Hailes for Women’s Health has been the leader in women’s health in Australia for over 30 years. Women’s Health Week is Australia’s biggest event dedicated to the health of all women and it’s all about offering a suite of evidence-based resources, translated toolkits and fact sheets in more than 20 languages across a range of topics including women’s health checks, pain conditions, PMS to perimenopause and healthy eating for better living.

While you’re with us at Deakin, we want to support you to achieve optimal mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health, so you can stay happy, well and fully supported to achieve your study goals. Women's Health Week is that reminder to all women of Deakin to set aside time for your health and wellbeing and for us all to make health a priority.
