The Local Word Writers Festival—an annual three-day event of workshops, presentations and panel discussions by local writers—is back for 2024, running from Friday 23 to Sunday 25 August.

There will be over 15 events, held at various libraries across the Geelong region showcasing the talents of local writers and creatives.

Whether you’re studying literature and creative writing, a writer—established, emerging, or aspiring—a reader or just really love books, these events are ideal for you!

Tickets to workshops start at just $10 for students, concession card holders and Library Members.
