Large project requests
Request consideration for large sized new works (including investigations, costings, construction, renovations, or modifications of University facilities).
A new works request is used to register a project for assessment and triage by Infrastructure, Property and Precincts (IPP). The outcome of the request will be either:
- Triaged to proceed for further investigation. You will be contacted by an IPP team member within four weeks to provide further information, including the justification for the works.
- Triaged for re-assessment in 12 months. You will be requested to re-submit your request if works are still required.
Note: All requests will be assessed based on the availability of funds.
You will need to choose ‘Submit a new works request’, then log in with your Deakin username and password.
The new works request process is:
- A new works request is raised through the Work Request system
- The request is triaged
- For requests triaged to proceed to further investigations, IPP will be in contact with you (or a nominated person) to discuss the idea in more detail. Some key information that we will need is:
- Definition of the idea, drivers, benefits and risks of not proceeding.
- The priority of this idea in the context of other requests for works.
- IPP will then work with you to undertake a strategic and space assessment.
- Should the idea be prioritised, it will be registered on our project list and the idea triaged for approval and delivery.
