Trimester Abroad

Study abroad for a trimester or two

A Trimester Abroad offers you the global learning opportunity at one of the many partner universities Deakin has an agreement with, for either one or two trimesters. With more than 150 partner universities all over the world, you have a great range to choose from.

We have carefully re-opened some destinations for student travel but will continue to monitor the global situation closely, and changes will be made accordingly based on government and health advice.

Applications for Trimester 2 2023 have closed and are currently under review.

Second round applications for T2/23 are now open until 17 February for eligible students for Aarhus University in Denmark

Exchange database

The Deakin Abroad team has developed a database of units that have previously been approved by Deakin faculties to be studied at partner institutions in order to assist students with selecting units. Students who have difficulty finding units in course catalogues are able to utilise this database as a starting point to the unit selection process.

Students need to review the partner exchange course catalogue to cross reference if unit is still offered and available for the study period you are abroad.

Please note:

  • just because a unit has been approved in the past does not guarantee it will be approved again or available for the term you are going there - units from this database still required to be submitted for approval.
  • some partner universities may not have previously approved units.
  • some courses may not have previously approved units.
  • some partner universities may not approve units that have been approved in the past.

This database shows historic assessment outcomes only. These are not pre-approved units and are subject to change.
