Mobile SupportedAssignments are submitted in CloudDeakin via Assignments located under Assessment.

Note: Assignments cannot be submitted using a phone or a tablet. Please use a desktop or notebook computer when submitting an assignment on CloudDeakin.

It is your responsibility to ensure you are submitting the correct file in an accepted format and that your file opens properly and is fully readable. Check that you have submitted the correct file by viewing your submission history under Assessment > Assignments > View History in the navigation bar. Incorrect submission is not a ground for being granted special consideration.

Assignments can be accessed within the Content or you can click on the Assessment then select Assignments link on the Site Navbar. When you click the Assignments link on the Site Navbar you can access a list of assignments.

Note: Not all units use the Assignments tool for assignment submissions. Not all assignment submission links are visible from the start of trimester and may only be available once you have completed prerequisite tasks. If you have further questions about assignment submission, contact your unit chair.

  1. Click the name of the assignment that you want to submit an assignment to.
  2. Carefully read the instructions relating to the assignment criteria and submission. If a rubric is used, you will be able to see the criteria.
    Note: Not all assignments require a file submission. You may be required to enter your work directly into the HTML Editor or mark work completed in person as complete.
  3. Click Add a File (eg DOC, PDF).
    Note: You can upload a maximum of 250 MB file.
  4. You have the options to:
    • submit files from your computer
      • Drag and drop files from your computer into the upload target area. If this function is not available in your browser, click Upload to find the file you want to upload. When you've located your file, select it and click Open.
      • When you have finished adding files, click Add.
    • submit items from your ePortfolio
      • Click on ePortfolio link and select the object you wish to submit.
      • Click Select Item.
    • submit files from your OneDrive
      • Click on Sign in to your Office365 account.
      • This will open in a new tab. Enter your email address, then click on Next.
      • Once connected, you are able to select files from your OneDrive.
      • When you have finished adding files, click Add.
  5. Add a comment if required.
  6. Click Submit.
  7. You will receive email confirmation that your submission was successful.

Group Assignments

Submit group assignments to an Assignment folder

In the list of assignments, group assignments have a Group Folder icon beside their name. Any user in your group can submit files to the group assignment. Read the instructions about how you are expected to submit your group assignment carefully. The Completion Status column lets you know how many files your group has submitted.

View Assignments

View your assignment submissions

The Submission History page provides details on who submitted files and when. Feedback and grades associated with group assignment apply to the entire group.

  1. On the Site Navbar, click on Assessment then select Assignments link.
  2. On the Assignment page, click the number under the Completion Status column of an assignment.
  3. A list of submitted files displays on the Submission History page. You can check the size of each file, when it was submitted and comments that were included. For group assignment you can check who submitted each file.
