Travel checklist

It’s very important to have everything in order before you depart for Australia. Use this checklist to make sure you’ve planned appropriately for your travels.

Travel checklist

  1. I have collected my important documents to bring with me on the plane, as well as making copies for my luggage and to leave with family at home.
  2. I have a plan to secure long-term accommodation and open a bank account in my first weeks in Australia.
  3. I have signed up to the Study Melbourne monthly newsletter.
  4. I have checked my baggage allowance.
  5. I have packed a range of casual clothing for all seasons.
  6. I have packed my electronics (laptop, mobile phone etc.) as well as chargers and Australian adaptors.
  7. I have packed a small amount ($100-$500) of Australian cash for when I arrive in Australia.
  8. I have familiarised myself with the Incoming Passenger Card I will need to fill out on the plane.
  9. I have read what I cannot bring into Australia due to quarantine and taken care not to pack any plant materials or foods.
  10. I will remember to notify my family when I land and update my contact details in StudentConnect with my temporary address in Australia.
