Awards and recognition

The University has a range of student prizes awarded annually. With over 56,000 students at Deakin, securing a prize is an accomplishment that you can definitely be proud of in your time at the University.

The majority of our awards are given for outstanding performance at an academic level and commitment to University life.

Awarding of prizes at graduation ceremonies

  • Students who complete their course during Trimester 3, 2017 will be invited to apply in the 2018/19 round of student prizes and awards.
  • Nominations are collated when final results become available at the end of each academic year (i.e. 2018 awards will be made on the basis of academic achievement in 2017).
  • Prize recipients will nominated and invited to submit an application by the University during November each year. Full details of all prizes and timelines for the 2017/2018 year are listed above.
