Intensive Units
What are intensive units?
Faculty of Business and Law offers a range of units in intensive mode. The format can vary across units, for instance, it may involve six consecutive days or blocks of consecutive days, full-day classes spread across several weeks or a three day long weekend. In this format, participants immerse themselves in the topic, undertake innovative and experiential learning activities, and build their professional networks.
The advantage of intensive delivery is that students only need to attend classes for a few days in a trimester. The intensive workshops and seminars allow students to gain the benefits of peer discussion and networking, while also having the flexibility to plan other activities around study. Teaching is supplemented by online support on CloudDeakin.
Students are required to access the Unit Site for reading and preparation work which is available six weeks prior to the commencement of the intensive unit.
