Findings from the 2023 Graduate Outcome Survey – Longitudinal (GOS-L), the national survey of higher education graduates 3 years after graduation.
1152 Deakin undergraduates from 2019 responded to the 2023 GOS-L which gave a 49% response rate.
Overall Employment
- 93% are employed
- 60% were working as a professional
- 7% were working as a manager
- 38% have changed occupation within the same business.
Graduates in Full Time Employment
- 3 years ago, 73% were working full time. Now, 93% are in full-time work
- 69% have been employed full time in their role for at least 12 months
- 43% found their new* job via internet ads (*previous 12 months).
Graduates were in diverse work:
278 occupations
174 industries
Employers based in 12 countries
All figures above the line are for domestic graduates who completed a bachelor degree.
Knowing what they know now...
- 84% of graduates would still study at Deakin
- 68% of graduates would still study the same qualification or study area.
