Pre-arrival checklist
Pre-arrival checklist
It’s very important to have everything in order before you depart for Australia. Use this checklist to make sure you’ve planned appropriately for your travels and your studies.
I have:
- enrolled online in StudentConnect.
- received my Confirmation of Enrolment.
- applied for and received my student visa, and I understand the obligations I need to uphold to maintain my visa.
- a pre-departure session.
- booked my flights and organised my airport pick-up with Deakin.
- organised visas for my family (if applicable) and my welfare arrangements and paperwork (if under 18).
- organised short-term accommodation near my Deakin campus for when I arrive. I have researched my long-term accommodation options and applied to Deakin Res.
- considered my financial situation and thought about a budget, the cost of living in Australia and how I am going to manage my money.
- organised my Overseas Student Health Cover.
