Research databases
The Faculty of Business and Law provides access to database services offering business, economic, and financial data, news, and analytics - available exclusively to the Faculty’s staff and graduate researchers for academic, non-commercial use.
These services include, for example:
- Bloomberg
- LSEG Workspace
- Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS)

High-Performance Computing (HPC)
The Faculty’s Advanced Business Analytics Laboratory (ABAL) provides access to dedicated high-performance computers for analytical computing and research.
To access this service, please contact the Research Services Team.
Alternatively, Deakin’s eResearch Services can further advise on access to the University’s Central HPC or the National Computational Infrastructure (NCI) .
Deakin Behavioural Lab
The Deakin Behavioural Lab is an open spaced configurable lab designed for on-site behavioural and other experimental research within the Faculty.

Research software
The University provides access to a range of software products to support your research. These include statistical and data analytics software - SPSS, Amos and QSR Nvivo, Stata, SAS and Matlab.
Software can be installed from the software centre app on your Deakin computer, accessed via Apps and Desktops Anywhere or requested via the software catalogue.

Survey tools – Qualtrics
Qualtrics is an online survey platform.
The University Wide license for Qualtrics can be accessed via https://researchsurveys.deakin.edu.au/ using the Single Sign On (SSO), instruction - IT Help - Access to Qualtrics - University Wide licence (deakin.edu.au)
Qualtrics support can be accessed directly online which includes on-demand webinars and live training. and a 24/7 support centre.
Please note, the University’s licence does not cover the recruitment of respondents.
Deakin eResearch (DUeR) also routinely provides training on Qualtrics and statistical packages. Their survey design and data analysis support services can be requested via the IT Help portal.
Library Resources
Deakin's library offers extensive support to research staff and students, including Library Resources for Research.
