Benefits

20% of the student contributions (tuition fees)

  • This scholarship is available for the normal duration of the course*.
  • Payments will be applied to your fee record after each applicable census date.

*Other fees not covered by this scholarship may apply. The scholarship will not be applied to study beyond the normal duration of the course (whether because of additional units undertaken or repeated units).

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible you must:

  • be a citizen from Vietnam
  • have not accepted any other Deakin scholarship or bursary
  • be a new student who commences their course at Deakin between Trimester 1 2019 to Trimester 3 2021
  • meet the entry requirements for their course, including English language requirements
  • be studying an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework Deakin degree (except for courses offered by Faculty of Science Engineering and Built Environment)

Specific requirements

To be eligible you must:

  • For Undergraduate Degree (meet one of the following in your most recent qualification/studies)
    • have studied the equivalent of one trimester at any University in Vietnam and achieve a WAM of at least 65%, OR
    • have completed studies at any High School in Vietnam and achieve a WAM of at least 82% in your Grade 12.
  • For Postgraduate Degree^
    • have studied the equivalent of one trimester at postgraduate level at any University in Vietnam and achieve a WAM of at least 65%, OR
    • have completed a bachelor degree at any University in Vietnam and achieve a WAM of at least 65%.

^ Please note, this scholarship does not apply to Masters by Research, PhD or Doctor of Medicine.
